Even as she lies in a coma in the hospital bed, I’m drawn to her. Can’t keep my eyes off of her for too long. While my twin refuses to admit it, he can’t either. My twin is foolish. He believes in love and all that nonsense, just like our father. He too, was a smart man but ended up dying of a broken heart when he lost the woman he loved most in this world. I have to keep Lorenzo from making the same mistake. It’s what I’ve been trying to do our entire lives, especially now that we’re caught up in this war between two powerful families.
